<h3 id="isPasted">Setting your code for your S6 Slimline Key Safe&#xA0;is really easy. Here&apos;s how.&#xA0;</h3>Before you begin, please remember:<ul><li>There is no pre-set combination code in your Key Safe</li><li>You will need to select your own combination, ideally featuring between 5 and 6 digits</li><li>Each number can only be used once</li><li>Do not use a combination that can be easily guessed</li><li>There is no override or reset code. Make a note of your code and store it somewhere safe</li></ul> <h4 id="setting-your-combination">Setting your combination</h4>Pull open the black weather cover.Press down on the CLEAR button (located in the centre of the Key Safe) and then release.Press down on the OPEN button and remove the lid (the part with the black buttons).Slide the white plastic instruction card on the back of the lid out and remove. This will reveal ten grey buttons on the back of the lid. Each of these grey buttons corresponds to the black buttons on the front of the Key Safe. These buttons each have small arrows. Arrows pointing towards the locking pin are OFF and are not part of the combination. Turn 180&#xB0; until the button pops back up completely and the arrow points in the ON direction (away from the hinge). To remove a number or letter from the code, use the code change tool to push in the grooved button by the number you wish to unset. Turn 180&#xB0; until the button pops back up completely and the arrow points in the OFF direction (towards the locking pin).Return the white plastic card over the back of the lid. <h4 id="testing-your-combination">Testing your combination</h4><ol start="1" type="1"><li style="font-size: 16px;">On the front of the Key Safe, pressing only the buttons in your combination, press each button in until it clicks. If you press the wrong button, push down on the clear button and enter your code again.</li><li style="font-size: 16px;">Press down on the OPEN button open. If the combination is set correctly, the locking pin will retract fully. If it does not, push down the CLEAR button and check to ensure you have entered the correct code. Refer to &quot;Setting your combination&quot; if you continue to experience difficulty.</li></ol>You must enter your code to both open and close your Key Safe. <h4 id="opening-and-closing-your-key-safe">Opening and closing your Key Safe</h4><ol start="1" type="1"><li style="font-size: 16px;">Once you have tested your code you will need to enter it again to close the Key Safe. Once you enter your code, you do not have to press the OPEN button until you are ready. There is no time limit between entering your code and operating the OPEN button.</li><li style="font-size: 16px;">Offer the bottom of the lid into the bottom of the vault, pull down on the OPEN button and keeping the open button pressed down, push the lid closed. Once in place release the OPEN button. Check your Key Safe is now locked shut by sliding down the OPEN button. If correctly locked, you should not be able to open the Keysafe without re-entering your code.</li></ol>Ensure you keep a copy of your code safe and only disclose your code to those that need to know. There is no override or reset code. If you have a lifeline or pull-cord care package, be sure to inform the monitoring centre where your key safe is located and ensure they always have a record of your most recent code in case of an emergency.

Never install masonry screws into mortar and minimize all gaps between back of the vault and the masonry surfaceThere is no need to use rawl plugs as each screw cuts its own threadIf you are relocating your key safe you will need to purchase new masonry screws. New masonry screws can be purchased <a href="https://keysafe.co.uk/product/397/replacement-fitting-kit-for-the-permanent-and-slimline-keysafe" style=" text-decoration: none;">online</a> or by calling our customer service team on 0330 363 0303 <h4 id="installing-your-key-safe">Installing your Key Safe</h4>To correctly install your Slimline Key Safe you will need the following items: Power drill, a 5mm drill bit suitable for metal, a 4mm drill bit longer than 70mm and suitable for masonry, a P2 Screwdriver, a pencil and tape.<ol start="1" type="1"><li style="font-size: 16px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Prior to fitting your Key Safe to the wall you will need to enlarge the 4 corner holes in the back of the Key Safe using your 5mm metal drill bit. This will enable the screws to pass through the vault. (For the Slimline Key Safe, ensure you also drill the 4 holes through the back of the rubber weather cover.)</li><li style="font-size: 16px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Using the Key Safe as a guide, mark each of the 4 drill holes with pencil on your wall. Ensure that all 4 holes are going into solid brick and not into the mortar lines</li><li style="font-size: 16px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Using a small amount of tape, mark the required drill depth on your 4mm masonry drill bit. We advise this to be a minimum of 70mm deep.</li><li style="font-size: 16px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Once drilled, place all 4 masonry screws through the vault and use a P2 screwdriver bit to secure your Key Safe to the wall. We recommend that you screw in each masonry screw a little at a time to ensure a secure fixing. Take care not to overtighten and check that your Key Safe is flush to the wall.</li></ol>
