I have the code, but I cannot open my Keysafe? (C500 or P500 only)
Entering the correct key safe code is the only means of accessing the keys inside.
Let’s see if we can get to the bottom of this for you by trying the following steps:
1. Turn the ‘Open’ dial anti-clockwise once, 360 degrees
2. Then press the ‘Clear’ button down and release it (this is in the middle of the numbered buttons)
3. Next, enter your code, ensuring you press the buttons firmly, so you hear or feel a click.
4. Lastly, turn the ‘Open’ dial clockwise, just 180 degrees
This should unlock and open your Key safe.
If that hasn’t worked, let’s try something else:
- Press the ‘Clear’ button down and release it
- Press all the buttons ensuring they click – if all the buttons do click, it’s likely you have the wrong code
- If one or more of your buttons does not click - it is likely that the mechanism is broken
If this still hasn’t worked, have a think about:
How long has it been since you have used the key safe?
Is it possible someone may have changed the code in the meantime?
