How do I stop someone changing my code?Updated 2 months ago

Our key safe codes can only be changed by those who have the original code. The code changing mechanism is on the inside so someone would need to open the key safe with the code in order to change it.

If you have supplied your code to others but want to make sure that they cannot change your code, you can fit an anti-tamper device, such as a cover plate over the code mechanism internally. This is supplied as standard with the P500 KeySafe.

Although these plates do not increase the physical strength of the key safe, they restrict unauthorised persons from changing the code.

Stopping someone using your key safe

If you want to stop someone who has the code from opening your key safe, you will need to change the key safe code to a different combination. Just remember to give the new code to those that you want to be able to access your key safe such as your care provider. And keep a note of your new code somewhere safe as you will not be able to open your key safe without it.

You can change the code in your key safe as often as you wish.
