Can someone guess my code?Updated 2 months ago

There are thousands of code combinations depending on the model which means guessing your key safe code would be highly difficult and unlikely. Someone would need to not only guess how long your code is but also the numbers in the code.

To increase security, we recommend selecting a code that is longer than 4 digits and avoid using common combinations based on birth years or sequential numbers, e.g. 12345.

All of our key safes are designed not to show fingerprint marks meaning that people will not be able to make out which numbers/letters are in your code by looking for fingerprints or marks of wearing. This is one of the reasons why the raised numbers/letters on our P500, C500 and Classic key safes are not painted a different colour as that colour would wear off over time and potentially reveal the code.

Our ark Tamo range is even more secure as each button can be used up to 4 times in the code. So if someone did manage to make out that the numbers in the code, say for example muddy fingerprints, they would not know how many times to press each number.

For our ark Tamo range, you should choose a code that is at least 6 digits in length with at least one of the numbers being repeated in the code. We recommend setting a code that is 8 digits long with at least one number being repeated.

There are 9.7 million possible code combinations in the ark Tamo range as each of the 10 buttons can be used up to 4 times in your code.

For all our other key safes we recommend choosing a code that is between 5-6 digits in length. For all our other key safes, you can only use each digit once in your code.

The C500 and P500 key safes have 4,096 possible code combinations while the Classic range of key safes have 1,024 possible code combinations.

We don't recommend setting a 4 digit code in your key safe.

Please remember to store a record of your code somewhere safe as you will not be able to open your key safe without the code.
