Lost or Forgotten CodesUpdated 2 months ago
I have lost/forgotten my code, help!
Unfortunately, we don’t hold any codes for key safe’s here. As a main supplier, all units leave us uncoded and the owner of the key safe sets their own code. Additionally, being a security item, they do not have any master/reset code facility.
If your key safe was supplied to you, there is a possibility that the company/authority responsible will have records of this code. We advise reaching out to them directly to assist you further. Your council’s adult social care department would likely be a good starting point.
To help remember the code, the following points may help:
Our C500, P500 and Classic ranges of key safe’s are not able to have any repeating numbers in the code. We advise using 5-7 numbers/letters for the code. You can enter the code in any order.
Our Tamo range of key safes can have each digit utilised up to 4 times in the code. We advise using at least 6 numbers in the code with at least one of these being a repeat. You can enter the code in any order.
My relative has passed away but hasn’t left the code, what can I do?
As a main supplier, all units leave us uncoded. Additionally, being a security item, they do not have any master/reset code facility.
If your relative was in receipt of care, there is a possibility that the company/local authority behind this will have note of the code last used in the key safe. We advise reaching out to them to see if they have this on file or what they would suggest for you moving forward.
If the above is not successful, this means you will not be able to make use of this key safe. The removal of a locked key safe would need to be performed by someone with cutting equipment such as a handyperson.
