Changing the code in your Classic KeySafeUpdated a month ago

The easiest way to change your code is to remove the old code first so that your key safe is uncoded.

Removing old code

  1. Pull open the weather cover
  2. Press down on the CLEAR button and then release
  3. Press down on the OPEN button, keeping this button pressed down, remove the lid from the key safe
  4. Slide the white plastic instruction card on the back of the lid out and remove it. This is your code change tool
  5. You will see 10 grey dials on the back of the lid. Each of these corresponds to the black buttons on the front of the key safe. These dials have small arrows
  6. Arrows pointing towards the locking pin are OFF and are not part of the code. Arrows pointing away from the locking pin are ON and are part of the code
  7. For each number that is in your old code, use the code change tool to push in the grooved button by that number and turn it 180 degrees until the dial pops back up completely and the arrow points in the OFF direction

Your key safe is now uncoded.

Setting a new code

  1. To add a number to your code, use the code change tool to push in the grooved button by the number you wish to set. Turn 180° until the button pops back up completely and the arrow points in the ON direction
  2. Do this for each number that you want in your new code
  3. Return the white plastic card to its slot in the back of the lid

Testing your combination

  1. On the front of the Key Safe, pressing only the buttons in your combination, press each button in until it clicks. If you press the wrong button, push down on the clear button and enter your entire code again.
  2. Press down and hold the OPEN button open. If the combination is set correctly, the locking pin will retract fully allowing you to place the lid back into the vault of the key safe. NB. You need to keep hold of the open button while placing the lid in the vault, if you let go, you will need to enter the code again in order to retract the locking pin.
