Installation Instructions
Tamo Pro comes with both Standard Screws and XL Screws, allowing you to decide on the level of security you want for your key safe.
Standard Screws offer a security rating of A10 when installed on brick, stone and concrete.
XL Screws offer a security rating of B1 and allow installation on brick, stone, concrete, and rendered walls.
If you are installing your Tamo Pro onto brick, stone or concrete with masonry screws you will need:
- Power drill
- Pencil/pen
- Measuring equipment
- T30 Torx head screwdriver
- 5mm masonry drill bit
NB. The Torx T30 screwdriver and 5mm masonry drill bit are also available to purchase as one item - Fitting pack for Supra C500 Pro & ark Tamo key safes
If you are installing your Tamo Pro onto a rendered wall, or want the higher security standard, you will need:
- Power drill
- Pencil/pen
- Measuring equipment
- T30 Torx head screwdriver
- Two drill bits: 4mm and 8mm
The Torx T30 screwdriver and the 4mm & 8mm drill bits are also available to purchase as one item - Fitting pack for XL security screws & wall plugs
Please note we do not recommend installing your key safe onto pebble dash substrate.
If you are moving your key safe to a new location, you will need to use new fixings. The fixings supplied are self-tapping masonry screws that cut their way into the brickwork. Once they’ve been used, the cutting edge becomes dulled, meaning that re-using the screws will result in a less secure installation.
Please ensure you drill new holes for every installation. Using existing holes can weaken the quality of the installation and may result in a less secure fit.
If you are reinstalling in a previously used area and are concerned about the old holes being visible, you can adjust the position of the key safe slightly so that the new holes are offset from the originals, while the key safe itself covers the old holes.
Additional fitting screws can be purchased from us. Please note there is a small postage fee on orders under £30 in value.
