Installation instructions
When installing your ark Tamo™ key safe you will need the following:
- Power drill
- Pencil/pen
- Measuring equipment
If you are installing your ark Tamo™ key safe onto brick or concrete then you will need the below -
- 5mm drill bit (70mm+ in length)
- T30 Torx drive
The drill bit and T30 Torx drive are available as one item in our Fitting pack for Supra C500 & ark Tamo key safes
If you are installing your ark Tamo™ key safe onto a rendered wall (excluding pebble dash) then you will need the below -
- Two drill bits: 4mm and 8mm
- T30 Torx drive
- XL security screws & wall plugs
ark Tamo™ comes with standard security screws. If you are fitting Tamo to a rendered wall, you will need our ark Tamo™ Wall Plug Fitting Kit
The drill bits and T30 Torx drive are available as one item in our Fitting pack for XL security screws & wall plugs
Please note we do not recommend installing your key safe onto pebble dash substrate.
If you are moving your key safe to a new location, you will need to use new fixings. The fixings supplied are self-tapping masonry screws that cut their way into the brickwork. Once they’ve been used, the cutting edge becomes dulled, meaning that re-using the screws will result in a less secure installation.
Please ensure you drill new holes for every installation. Using existing holes can weaken the quality of the installation and may result in a less secure fit.
If you are reinstalling in a previously used area and are concerned about the old holes being visible, you can adjust the position of the key safe slightly so that the new holes are offset from the originals, while the key safe itself covers the old holes.
Additional fitting screws can be purchased from us. Please note there is a small postage fee on orders under £30 in value.
